Is there much better than a warm cup of cider on a cool autumn day?
One of my favorite things about going to a fall fair or festival is holding a warm cup of cider while looking at all the animals. Cumberland, ME was the next town, growing up. I have so many fond memories.
I wanted to give you a run-down of a few of my personal favorite fairs, and a list of Maine, NH, and MASS festivals for you to check out:
The Cumberland Fair, not far from Portland and Freeport, Maine, running from September 25- October 1, 2022, is a week-long event is celebrating its 150th year! Here you will experience agricultural, horticultural, and wildlife events, a pumpkin contest and squash carving, harness racing, farmer’s steer and ax pull, rabbit, horse and dog shows, rides, food, and more.
The Deerfield Fair, 30 minutes from Dover, NH, runs from September 29th – October 2nd. This fair includes a wool festival, arts & crafts, a dairy show, sheep, horse, cattle, poultry, waterfowl, pig alpaca shows, several forms of entertainment, and so, so, so much more!
The Fryeburg Fair, October 2 – October 9th, features a calf & pig scrambles, entertainment, a firemen’s muster, harness racing, mechanical & tractor pulls, a parade, sheep and dog trials, skillet and anvil throws, a field day, rides, and more.
